English Topic 29 - Compound words


The making of compound words is a question type that commonly appears in 11 plus exams.

In verbal-reasoning it is question Type 11.

Examples:

basket + ball = basketball, air + craft = aircraft, back + bone = backbone, break + fast = breakfast, over + board= overboard, up + stairs = upstairs, earth+ quake = earthquake, some + where = somewhere, grass + hopper = grasshopper, skate + board = skateboard, thunder + storm = thunderstorm
