COAsT Help – My Students

In order for your child/student to take tests on 11plus.co.uk or for you to print 11+ tests  for them, they need a Student account. A Student account is created and managed via a Parent or Tutor Account.

Adding a Student to COAsT

How do I add a Student?

Before your child can start taking tests, they need to be added to your parent account as a student. You can control their account information – including password resetting – from your parent account, as well as view their results and analysis.

After registering, you should be taken to the first step of adding a student, which is entering all of their relevant information in order to create their account. Alternatively, you can follow these steps:

  • LOG IN to your Parent or Tutor account.
  • Go to My 11plus
  • Click on the My Students tab.
  • Click the ‘+ Add Student’ button on the right.
  • Enter all relevant details, including the date of their exam, and their 2 school choices (you may choose unknown if you do not know).
  • After adding a student, you will need to assign them the tests you would like them to take.
  • You can add another student by following the same process.

How does my Student log in? 

Once a Student has been added by a Parent/Tutor, they are then fully registered users on 11plus.co.uk. This means they LOG IN the same way everyone else does. You will need to log out of your Parent or Tutor account in order for a Student to LOG IN to their account so that they can take tests. 

Editing a Student

How can I edit my Student’s details?

  • Go to My 11plus, and then to the My Students tab.
  • Locate the student whose details you want to change.
  • Click the ‘Edit’ button.
  • The student’s details should pop up, and you will be able to edit them

Can I remove a Student?

Student accounts cannot be removed, but if you no longer wish to see a specific student in your list, you can ‘archive’ them by following these steps:

  • Go to My 11plus, and then to the My Students tab.
  • Locate the student(s) you wish to hide.
  • Click the ‘Actions for selected student’ button on the right hand side and press the ‘Archive Students’ button.

To unarchive a student:

  • Go to My 11plus, and then to the My Students tab.
  • Locate the student(s) you wish to hide.
  • Click the ‘Actions for selected student’ button on the right hand side and press the ‘Unarchive Students’ button.

My Student has forgotten their password!

If you are the owner of the Student account (i.e. you are not simply a viewer – the student account must belong to you), you can reset a Student’s password from within your Parent or Tutor account. To reset a Student’s password, follow these steps:

  • Ensure you are logged in to your Parent or Tutor account.
  • Go to My 11plus, then to the My Students tab.
  • Locate the student whose details you want to change.
  • Click the ‘Edit’ button.
  • The student’s details should pop up, and you can enter and then confirm their new password.

     

Assigning Tests to a Student

How to Assign Tests to a student?

Go to My 11plus. First go to the My Students tab and select one or more students (if you only have one Student they will automatically be selected). Next you need to choose which tests you want to assign. To do this, go to the ‘Test List’ tab and select one or more tests that you would like to be assigned to the selected Students. Then press the ‘Assign Selected Tests’ button. The next screen will show you how many credits are needed to assign those tests. Once you are ready to assign the tests, push the ‘Assign Online Tests Now’ button. The assigned tests will now appear in the Student account in the ‘Test Activity‘ tab.

How do I see which tests have been assigned to my student?

Go to My 11plus then the ‘Test Activity‘ tab. All test activity appears here…

  • Tests taken online (pending and completed)
  • Printed tests

How does my Student take a test online?

First of all, a Parent or Tutor must assign a test (or tests) to the Student. Once this has been done the student must LOG IN to 11plus.co.uk using their own Student account (set up via the Parent or Tutor account).

Once logged in the Student can get to their tests but going to My 11plus and then the ‘Test Activity‘ tab.

Viewing Results & Analysis

How can I view my Student’s Results?

Go to My 11plus. All results are accessed in the ‘Test Activity‘ tab. For more details see the Results & Analysis help page.

How can I allow my Student’s Tutor/Parent to see my Student’s Results?

As the owner of a Student account, a Parent or Tutor may add a ‘Viewer’ to a Student’s account. A Viewer is someone who can view that Student’s results and review their test attempts, but not edit the Student account. You will need your own 11plus Parent or Tutor account with a unique e-mail address in order to be added as a viewer. Parent or Tutor accounts can be added as Viewers – this means the Student will appear in their My Students list, but only the owner of the Student account (the person who originally added the Student) is able to edit a Student’s details.

To add a viewer to your student, do the following:

  • Ensure you are logged in to your Parent or Tutor Account.
  • Go to My 11plus.
  • Go to the My Students tab.
  • Click the ‘Edit Details’ button on the right hand side of the student to which you wish to add a Viewer.
  • A pop-up box with their details will come up. Scroll down to the bottom of this form where there is space to enter a Viewer.
  • Enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to add as a Viewer. The email address must be the email address associated with their 11plus.co.uk account. You can add someone as a Viewer before they have registered on 11plus.co.uk and provided they go on to register with the same email address their new account will be set as a Viewer of the student accordingly.
