Instructions

In each of the following questions, the word in brackets in the second group must be made from the words outside the brackets in the same way as the word in brackets in the first group is made from the words outside the brackets in the first group. Find the missing word.

Method

To get the answer to the question, you need to look at the relationship of the words to one another. The word inside the brackets has been made up from letters of the words outside the brackets. Look at each letter from the word inside the brackets to see how they relate to the words outside the brackets. Once you have found out which letters have been used, you have to use the letters in the same positions in the second group to make up a new word- your answer.

Watch the video. Some people do these questions in their heads but others choose to write down the possible positions of each of the letters as in the video.
