IPS Naming Conventions Conversion Chart

IPS has a different numbering system for all of the Verbal Reasoning Types.
Some of you may be familiar with the IPS question naming conventions. Here is a conversion chart so you can convert to the Chuckra naming convention. The table shows which IPS Type corresponds to each of Chuckra’s Types.
Verbal Reasoning Types

All 21 Types tend to come up in Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Wirral.
There are six types which do not tend to come up in Essex, Hertfordshire and Kent:
Types 3 (N), 6 (O), 12 (H), 16 (S), 19 (K) & 20 (I)
These types have sometimes been referred to as HIKNOS types by people following the naming convention specified in IPS publications.
Please be aware, however, that the types that appear in the 11 plus exam may change without notice so it is beneficial to ensure your child is familiar with all of the types.
