Sorry, but I've just read about compound words on the chuckra forum. What are they?

Words that are made up of two other words. A simple example would be

motor & cycle making motorcycle

That one is easy because if you say motor & cycle it sounds the same as motorcycle. However, some are trickier because when the two words are joined, the sound of the new word is different. An example of this would be

feat & her making feather.

Hope that clears things up. You probably read on the chuckra forum that we have a list of over 2600ish compound words. The trouble is that the list hasn't been checked for unsuitable words so we don't give it to people unless they specia11y ask for it knowing that it may contain some unsuitable words.

Please can I ask for the list of compound words.
