How do I change my password

What is COAsT?

COAsT stands for Chuckra Online Assessment Tool. It is an online testing system which allows you to take 11+ tests online and receive detailed performance analysis. In the upgraded version you will be given a Rank for each test which lets you know how well your child did compared to all the other students.

I cannot see COAsT even though I am logged in

Check that you have Flash Player installed. The latest version of Flash Player is a free download.

How do I add a Student to COAsT?

Only Parents / Tutors can add Students to COAsT. This is done through the 'Manage Users' screen in COAsT.

1. REGISTER as a Parent / Tutor on 11plus.co.uk

2. Login with your Parent / Tutor account

3. Go to COAsT (found under 'Online Practice' in the menu across the top of the site)

4. Click on 'Manage Users' in the COAsT Main Menu

Does my child need an email address to use COAsT?

Yes. If your child does not have an email address then please create one using a free online service such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc or let them use a parent or friend's email address.

How does my child login?

Once children have been added through COAsT they are then full registered users on 11plus.co.uk. This means they log in the same way everyone else does. Make sure the parent is logged out first and then click the Login link at the top right of the website.

My account is set to the wrong user type (Parent, Tutor or Student). Can I change this?

By mistake, some Students have registered themselves as Parents or vice versa. To fix this you can reset your COAsT account.

How do I upgrade to the full version of COAsT?

To upgrade to the full version of COAsT you must buy an upgrade pack from the Chuckra online store. Because the Chuckra online store is a separate website from 11plus.co.uk you need to register on both of those sites. It is important that you use the same email address to register on both sites. If the emails do not match then your upgrade pack will not be available in COAsT.

Do I need to register separately on 11plus.co.uk and 11plus.co.uk/shop?

Yes. They are separate sites. In order to keep both accounts in sync, please use the same email address when you register on each site.

My email address is not recognised in the Chuckra Store

I upgraded COAsT but I still can't review tests

There are two reasons this could happen.

1) You haven't assigned the upgrade product to any users yet. Watch the Assigning Purchased Products video on the COAsT support page.

or

2) When you ordered, you used a different email address from the one you used to sign up to COAsT. You can change your email address on 11plus.co.uk via the PROFILE menu option once you are logged in.

What are the requirements to run COAsT?

COAsT requires Adobe Flash which is already installed on the majority of computers. It will run in all of the modern internet browsers on a PC or Mac. Ipad users cannot run COAsT at this point.

Is there a time limit on the COAsT upgrade packs?

No. Upgrade packs last forever.

Do I need to buy an upgrade pack for each Student?

Yes. You need to buy and assign the upgrade pack to each child who requires the extended features. Bulk discounts are available.

If I upgrade, can I analyse tests completed before the upgrade?

Yes. The system will have a record of all the tests the Student did prior to upgrading, including all the answers the Student chose in each test.

What is the difference between 'COAsT' and 'COAsT lite'?

COAsT lite allows you to take tests online and see the result immediately after. COAsT full has Premium Tests and extended features which allow you to analyse the Student's performance and decide the best course of study. View a full feature comparison.

What is 'Rank'?

Rank is an important concept. It tells you how well you did compared to everybody else. Say you got a rank of 88 in a test, it means that you scored better than 88% of the other people taking the same test. Aim to get a rank of 85 or above consistently to be reasonably confident of an 11+ pass.

Why can't Parents take tests in COAsT?

We initially allowed Parents to take tests but then people just let their children take tests when logged into the Parent account. If we let this continue then we wouldn't have been able to distinguish tests taken by Parents and tests taken by Students. To keep the stats pure we disallowed this feature.

What is the difference between free tests and Premium Tests?

Premium tests are 'special' tests such as those used in the Chuckra mock test days or Initial Assessment tests which contain all the question variations in the one test.

Where have the free downloadable 11+ practice papers gone?

They are still available, but in a different format. They are no longer available to download as pdfs. The free tests are now available to complete online in COAsT (automatic marking) or if you wish to print, please see the next FAQ...

Can I print tests from COAsT?

In the full version of COAsT you can print all of the tests in COAsT lite PLUS all five of the 2009 Mock Test papers which come with the full version.

Where are the Maths & Vocab boosters that used to be available?

We are in the process of converting them to run in COAsT. They will be available soon.
