TOPIC: New to 11+ Help

New to 11+ Help 1 year, 11 months ago #2779

Looking for some help and advice. My daughter is desparate to go to High School. She will be taking 11+ in September 2010. Cant afford a tutor so would like to help her at home myself. Any tip? Where do I start? Her grades at school are good but I would like to prepare her, so she knows what to expect. We live in the south Lincolnshire area. Not much mention of this area. Please help!!!!

I'm not from your area and do not know what is required. I would suggest that you find out who sets the papers and which subjects are examined. Your education authority will be able to advise you further. If VR then this site has fantastic resources. No matter what the subject you will find support on the forum.

Louise Staples BSc (Hons), PGCE, is an Essex-based teacher. During her career she has helped hundreds of children prepare for independent school and 11+ examinations in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. She is the author of a series of Maths & English papers written specially for 11+ preparation in Essex (they are also great practice for other counties). Buy Louise Staples' 11 plus papers.
