This site has been great, however we need preparation materials for a 12+ exam.

We have lived in France for 5 years and will likely be moving back during the summer.

Our 12 year old son is speaks French fluently and has an excellent grasp on German. He is also 'ahead of the curve' in his other subjects but that is being measured against the French curriculum. We would like to have an idea what standards he is expected to achieve when he takes his upcoming 12+ exam.

I hoped to find suitable material/advice online but while there is a wealth of 11+ related subjects, there is virtually nothing for 12+.

Can anyone point me in a suitable direction?

It really depends on what area and what school / schools you are considering.

My advice is to find out exactly what type of exam (exams) he'll be facing and work out a plan based on that.

Sometimes it feels like the school won't help (as their hands are a little tied) but they should at least give you an idea or a previous paper - so you'll have a better idea what to revise on.

What school / area are you looking at??

We're looking at schools in the Wirral, Liverpool & Sefton areas.

For the Wirral school he'll be taking tests on English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and an elective paper (in this case French).

I've been coaching him through this site with the 11+ VR materials but would be nice to see similar materials somewhere for the 12+.
