Brain exercise

Finished the 11+ exam? Keep your brain in good shape for grammar school and the rest of your life!

For many of you, the 11 plus journey has reached its end. Don't disappear though. Keep your brain in tip top shape by regularly playing the brain games on brainexperiment.org

The games will help you improve*:

Working memory - thought by many scientists to be a key factor in determining intelligence.

Number skills - being quick with numbers is essential for all ages.

Spacial awareness - whether it be for sport, design or driving, good spacial awareness is critical.

Ability in aptitude tests - aptitude tests are being used more and more by top companies and universities. Some of the brain games were based on entrance tests for top 100 companies.

If you signup your scores will be logged and you will receive an overall brain score across all games (0 is minimum, 100 is the maximum). Don't be embarrassed if your brain score is low. Keep playing and see how much you can improve. The games are fun but they all test a certain cognitive ability. We chose to keep the games visually simple and focus on pure brain training rather than the flying monkeys and unnecessary eye candy that you find on other brain training sites.

(NB. There was an issue on some people's accounts where scores were not being stored. This has now been resolved so please visit again and continue playing the games.)

* A recent BBC study showed no proof that brain training improves overall intelligence, however it did prove that brain games improve ability in the skills the games are testing. Several top neuroscientists have also criticised the experiment and pointed out several major flaws in the logic behind it.
